Easy 5 Steps to setup your POP3, Outlook and Hotmail email accounts on Android phone
Instead of using the Hotmail application. You can use Android’s inbuilt internet accounts option to add your email account to your phone. This is better than using the Hotmail application as it takes up much less space and power from your phone while seamlessly synchronizing your email. The notifications are also easy to manage with this method. Below are 5 steps to add your Hotmail or Outlook account to your android.

If you still don’t have Hotmail Email Account, Create New Hotmail Account Signup
First, go to the phone’s Settings.
Then, go to Accounts.
Now, click on the Add an account option. You will be given a list of internet accounts as shown below.
Choose the Personal(IMAP) option.

Enter your Hotmail address on the box. Then, click next.
And now, enter your password and click Sign In button.
(It is better to tick on the keep me logged in option on your personal device. As you don’t have to keep logging in every time you need to check your mail.)
Accept the terms and conditions.
You can also sign out now by clicking on the Sign out option on the bottom left corner without submitting any data if you wish to terminate the process.
Set the Account options.
It is best to select all of the options that are provided for best performance. But the Sync frequency time maybe increased for users on a fixed data plan.
Finally, choose your display name.
At last, the phone will redirect you to the settings screen as the setup is done.
